What is TokenAnvil?
TokenAnvil is a no-code web app for creating a Solana SPL token from your own wallet. You enter a name, symbol, supply, decimals, and logo, approve one transaction in your wallet, and the token is created on Solana with its name and logo attached through Metaplex token metadata, so wallets and explorers can display them.

The Solana amount is measured from a real mint transaction and moves only if Solana or Metaplex change their fees. Every TokenAnvil fee is visible on-chain.
Can I pay with USDC or USDT?
Yes. On Mainnet you can pay the TokenAnvil fee in SOL, USDC, or USDT. Stablecoin payments charge the exact dollar amount, with no price quote needed. A small amount of SOL is still needed in the wallet for the Solana costs above.
Which wallets work?
Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Coinbase Wallet, and other Solana wallets that support the Wallet Standard. If more than one wallet is installed, TokenAnvil asks which one to use, and the header shows which wallet is connected with a Disconnect option.
Can I create a token on my phone?
Yes. Phone browsers such as Safari and Chrome cannot reach wallet apps directly, so TokenAnvil shows Open in Phantom, Open in Solflare, and Open in Backpack buttons. They open TokenAnvil inside that wallet's built-in browser, where you connect and approve normally.
Does TokenAnvil hold my keys or my tokens?
No. TokenAnvil never asks for your seed phrase or private key and never takes custody of your tokens. Your wallet is the only signer of the transaction, and the new supply goes straight to your wallet or to a wallet address you choose.
What settings can I choose?
Name, symbol, total supply, decimals from 0 to 9, logo, description, website and social links, an optional different wallet to receive the supply, and whether to revoke mint authority and freeze authority at launch. Your wallet stays the metadata update authority.
Should I revoke mint and freeze authority?
Revoking mint authority fixes the supply forever. Revoking freeze authority means holders' accounts can never be frozen. Both are permanent and cannot be undone by anyone, including TokenAnvil. Many community tokens revoke both; tokens that need future issuance keep mint authority. The authority revocation guide covers the trade-offs.
Can I practice before creating a real token?
Yes. Choose Devnet in the app to run the full flow for free with test SOL. In Phantom, first turn on Testnet Mode under Settings → Developer Settings and pick Solana Devnet. Turn it off again before creating a real token on Mainnet.
How long does it take?
Filling in the form takes a few minutes. After you approve the transaction in your wallet, Solana usually confirms it within seconds, and TokenAnvil shows the mint address and a Solscan link.
Can I create a tax token or a Token-2022 token?
No. TokenAnvil creates standard SPL tokens on Solana's original Token Program, which have the widest wallet and exchange compatibility. Transfer-tax tokens need the Token-2022 program, which TokenAnvil does not offer.
Does TokenAnvil list my token or add liquidity?
No. TokenAnvil creates the token. It does not list tokens on exchanges, add liquidity, promote tokens, or promise any price or listing. See the launch guide for what comes after creation.
What if my wallet shows a warning?
Stop, and do not approve anything you do not understand. TokenAnvil checks every transaction before your wallet opens and stops with a plain explanation if Solana would reject it, for example when the wallet is short on SOL. If a wallet warning still appears, contact TokenAnvil support before continuing.
Refunds
Blockchain transactions are final, and Solana network costs never reach TokenAnvil. The refund policy explains when a TokenAnvil fee can be refunded.
